Reflexology is a natural holistic therapy which works on the principle that reflexes in our feet, hands (and face and ears) correspond to the organs, structures and systems within our bodies. When we are fit and well energy flows freely throughout the body but stagnates when we are unwell or stressed. Physical or emotional symptoms may then arise. By stimulating the reflex points on the feet, the body’s natural healing mechanisms are activated and can help to bring it back into a state of natural balance.
Reflexology can be received by anyone from newborn babies to those receiving end of life care and everyone in between. However, there may occasionally be times when it is not suitable to provide a treatment.
Reflexology should NOT be performed if:

Please be sure to let your therapist know before treatment if any of the above apply to you.
Apart from the above contraindications, it is usually safe to have Reflexology alongside conventional medicine, but if you are currently having any medical treatment please speak to your GP before booking an appointment.
